I have moved back to upstate New York. I arrived to Newark and was picked up by a friend, and was craving something substantial to eat so we went into the city, thanks to Yelp, to a place in the West Village called Taïm, a falafel and smoothie bar. I had the Sabich sandwich which was amazing. I should've taken a picture but I'll steal a few from the internet and thank the smart people that remember to do so:

This is where I'm staying for now, a semi-bed & breakfast type place owned by The Center:
This may look colder than it was. It's a high of 46 today.
In other news, I was semi-productive on my winter sabbatical. Here are a few things:
A scissors case
Some jar jackets
Some mini granny squares that I sewed together to make a bookmark. (Idea from a magazine).
And a blanket I am still in the process of making.
i'd say you've been super productive! i can't wait to see the blanket when it's done.
ReplyDeletethat scissors case is amazinggg!
ReplyDeleteI am the proud owner of that scissor case, and it is truly amazing! I always know where my tiny scissors are now!
ReplyDeleteThank youuuu :D. That idea/directions for execution was also from not me, but this crochet book: http://www.amazon.com/Kyuuto-Japanese-Crafts-Lacy-Crochet/dp/0811860582
ReplyDeleteSame for the jar jackets. Too fun! I want to make each one of you something. I am just kind of slow and someone had a January birthday.
