Also, I was at a graduation celebration today, speaking with a lady from work, who has told me many times about the deer who eat her plants. Today, this deer-eating-plant anecdote began with currants, then moved onto the day when the deer was in her house, knocking the vase off her kitchen table that held her once-Mother's Day roses no longer. After remarking that that was incredible that the deer was so comfortable entering her house, she revealed that she had rescued this deer when it was a baby, off the side of the highway, next to it's dead mother, brought it home, fed it, and raised it! Three years later, Anne must run back and forth in her house trying to keep the deer from going upstairs. All this time, she never said anything about that... Just that "the deer had eaten all her plants again." And then she ended with the part where "Lucky" slobbers her with kisses! I think I'll go meet her one day! Very excited for this.
